Our Hands On Food Prep training was a huge success! Thank you to all that attended. A special thank you to Darby Jordan with Back To The Woodshed (bulk organic foods). Thank you Shauna Peters for coordinating this great event!
In September we were invited to attend the Jesus Loves Pueblo event at Mineral Palace Park and we were able to share what the CRU is about with our community.
We are always excited to share what our Jeremiah Project Team has been doing in our community! We are blessed to have the opportunity to help those in need.
3 of our volunteers helped tear down a set of steps and build this platform and stairs in its place.
Thank you to all of out volunteers who are able and willing to help reach out and provide these much needed services in our community.
Please join us in welcoming our new ACT Against Child Trafficking Directors. These two very talented ladies have a heart for Human Trafficking survivors and for Pueblo. They have agreed to co-lead this ministry and will make an amazing addition to our team. We are excited to have you on board ladies!
“My name is Carmella Lujan. I am a person of many interests and hobbies. Among these include photography and travel, along with volunteer work of any sort and helping out with the Children’s ministry at my church. (Pueblo West Church of Christ). I am active in foreign mission work and desire to teach English overseas one day. I love God,and am passionate about partnering with Him to serve His people! Within this past year, the Lord has challenged me to respond and become active in living out Micah 6:8 on behalf of Human Trafficking victims. I believe that becoming an advocate and playing a small role in whatever form is what God requires, and will start change to take shape. I am excited to see how God will use this ministry, and am thankful to take part in something so big.”
“My name is Jessica Bates. I was raised in California and moved to Pueblo last November so my husband and I could work with the church of Christ in Pueblo West. We have two small children, Josiah who will be three in September and Abby who recently turned one. My husband and I met while doing mission work in China, I lived there for two years. While overseas missions is a passion of mine and something I would love to return to, I also see the need to spread the love of Christ to the people in my community right where I am. The problem of human trafficking both here and abroad is something I have become passionate about and now that I find myself settled in an area where there is a need for advocates and action I feel it has been put on my heart to do something about it. I look forward to doing the work God has set before us in Pueblo. I pray that the opportunities and means to accomplish good works in His name is given to us so that we can begin to set things right on Earth as it is in Heaven.”
We always love getting to send our CRU Pueblo responders to new trainings and events!
This May we were able to send one of our own across the world to do a special training in Cyprus! Kelly helped medically train 32 CRI responders. Several who deployed to Nepal, Ukraine and Kurdistan immediately. What a great week for the kingdom.
Join us in prayer for our responders in Ukraine, Nepal, and Kurdistan who are giving themselves and their time to spread the good news to areas in desperate need.
Huge thanks to Justin Hummer for teaching at our May CRU Meeting. We learned a lot about being situationally aware and prepared. So many great tips on how to be safer, both in public and online.
Join us for our next Monthly meeting!
We were so excited to see our Crisis Response family at this Advanced Training Summit! Good job Ken for coordinating the SIM and Kelly for being willing to teach and to help! Next time we hope to bring more of our Pueblo CRU members!
